This morning we finished packing since yesterday both girls decided not to take any sort of nap (well Emma took one for 40 minutes but not sure if that really counts or not) and I didn't get as much done as I needed to. So, Mike and I were up at 7 got packing, showered and got Maci to the "doggie hotel" by 930. Thankfully it was a Daddy and Lily trip so I could finish up around the house.
We were out of the house and on the road at noon and soon after both girls took naps which got us to Emporia and I95 to head south. THANK GOODNESS...no potty breaks on the side of the road and no squeezing in the back between the two car seats. We stopped for lunch and some leg stretching and back in the car we went.
We arrived in Goldsboro after, one more stop, at 445. Both girls were very excited to get out of the car and be at our hotel. After pizza for dinner and a movie that we watched on the lap top we all turned in for the night.....
Mike and I had rough nights. We had a room with 2 double beds. And both Lily and Emma are not cuddly sleepers but the total opposite. They toss and turn. They kick. They slap. They move ALL night long! I'm pretty sure that they move pretty much the same just since Emma is so much smaller she's the lesser of the two "evils". We're looking forward to when they are old enough and can share a bed on these trips :).
After a wonderful Hampton Inn kinda continental breakfast we were on the road again to our next destination...Wilmington, NC.
FYI: No rain, No winds, No Hurricane Earl at all!

hotel stays are definitely not as easy with children...
who got to sleep with Emma???
