Vacation Day 2

Happy girls after having a good nights sleep, well they had some good sleep at least. A wonderful breakfast we were all ready to get on the road again.
A two hour car ride brought us into Wilmington, NC around 12 just in time for lunch. It was a gorgeous day and a wonderful small city to explore with the girls. The small city is situated on the Cape Fear River and has a lot of small shops, restaurants (that did not look very kid friendly), good nightlife (like Richmond), and old brick streets. If we had time and the energy we would have taken advantage of horse drawn buggy rides, a ferry ride to explore an old war ship or what we really wanted to do take a short ride on their trolley. But another day, another trip and when we are all a bit more rested.
The girls didn't seem to miss a thing as they were just excited to get out of the car to get some fresh air.
We even ran into one of Mike's Coast Guard cutters that he is in charge of. It was docked getting some routine repairs done. He's thinking a business trip to Wilmington is needed soon.
The fresh air got to Emma. Too bad once we got her in the car her 20 minute nap was over. Back in the car for another 2 hours, one potty stop, and we arrived in Myrtle Beach at 4 right in time for check-in.

The girls hung out on our bed watching PBS while we unpacked and got settled into our villa. They loved being in the a/c rolling around in only their diaper/undies and their shirts. A nice way to say hello to Myrtle Beach.

We had another late night after eating out with Nana and Pa and making a trip to the grocery store. But Emma is still smiling :) and sitting up in her bouncy seat!

Looking forward to a fabulous week!
