Vacation Day 8

Mom and I were able to enjoy a shopping trip to another outlet mall this morning just the two of us. It's very rare that just the two of us get to go, so it was absolutely wonderful!

Then....

Nana and Pa came over to watch the girls while Mike and I went to the pool...

BY OURSELVES!

It was absolutely heavenly!

We were able to have complete thoughts and sentences, have a conversation longer than a minute and a half, we took a dip in the pool without having to watch a little person, and we each took a short cat nap! Probably only 10 minutes but felt like hours! This hour at the pool was the best hour EVER.

When we got back we reluctantly relieved Nana and Pa of their baby duty and got the girls ready for one last trip to the pool. This time we spent most of our time in the heated indoor pool. Both Lily and Emma loved it. We are definitely looking into getting rec center passes and probably going to attend swim lessons this fall or spring for Miss Lily.

Tonight we had a quick pizza dinner at Nana and Pa's so we all had time to pack up our week's worth of laundry and messes. As Mike went back to pack up our car top carrier the girls and I went with Nana and Pa to play cornhole and take a walk.

On our walk back to our place Lily took another nasty fall on the sidewalk. I was walking ahead of them and all I heard was the sound of her head hitting the ground and I didn't want to turn around. I knew. I knew it was going to be bad just from the sound it made. But, as I turned around I saw no blood just tears. No ER trip meant she was ok. She had a huge scrape down the right side of her face and a huge egg on her forehead. But she was ok. She's ok. I think the stitches and er trip has made me a little more on edge...ugh.

What a way to end our last full day of family vacation!
