Yellow Day

Today was Lily's second color day at school...

Yellow Day

And...she is now 3 1/2!

Some new things about Miss Lily...
*She is loving playing school.
*She can write more than her name. She has been practicing writing all of her letters, which she is very good at and if we write a word she can look at it and copy what we wrote.
*She has been reading, lately Chicka Chicka Boom, Boom! is her favorite.
*Has almost all of the pre-primer sight words in her word can :) and can read them in isolation and recognize them in print.
*Can count up to 20 but does better with her number card in front of her. She can count higher with more help.
*Loves to rhyme. She loves the -at family.
*Is very much into playing pretend. She is making up stories that are so real that she has to clarify to Daddy and me that she is just pretending. Just this week she told us "When I was a little girl I had a roller skating coach named Katie. She was nice. I learned a lot." And, this goes on A LOT.
*She thinks every football team in yellow is the Steelers :)
*Is very protective of Emma but sometimes needs "Lily time" in her room by herself
*Loves Loves Loves school. Can tell us everything about it down to what her friends had for snack and which letter everyone had on the carpet.
*Loves to talk on the phone to her Nana and Pa. Very often she asks to call them and they have full conversations about their day.
*Becoming more assertive and outgoing thanks to her sister. They compliment each other very well.
*Her memory continues to amaze us. She remembers street names, how to get places, stores and why we went to them...
*Is very into maps and geography.
*Enjoys to do puzzles of all sorts

Oh my goodness, half way to 4 years old. :(
