Halloween 2011
Before
The girls were super excited and ate all of their dinner in hopes of having some candy when they got home. Although getting into the costumes is always a chore we were all very happy to get out of the house at 6pm.
During
This was our first trick-or-treat just the four of us and although we missed our friends we had so much fun. The girls got in the hang of going up to the houses and were thrilled to get candy just for going up! Lily said "Trick-or-Treat" and always thanked them afterwards. Miss Emma gave her killer full of teeth smile along with a nose scrunch and a sweet wave and "Bye-Bye" to everyone too. Although Emma walked quite a bit, we also carried her more than we would have liked. When we left each house Emma would say, "Mama, aaahhhh" and point and look in her pumpkin. I'm not sure she could even see what was in there but she was so excited that someone gave her something.
After
Like always, the first thing to do when you get home after getting tons of candy is to sit and go through it. This year was no different and the girls love to go through it more than they like eating it, well maybe not. They each had a few pieces but really enjoyed when we turned on our light to hand out our candy. The streets were more packed than I have ever seen them, ever. I'm so glad that we didn't hand out candy the entire two hours, we definitely would have run out.
Sorry this is so long, it's kinda boring but I love watching them.
This is how they are most of the time and it makes us smile.
