23 Months

23 months, already?!? I've always heard that time flies faster when you get older and when you have kids and I finally understand how true that is. Time certainly does fly and what I wouldn't do to just have moments frozen in time to put in a box I could keep forever.

My baby girl is going to be 2 next month and I am astonished and feel as though I missed it all. How is that possible when I spend every day with her? Is it going to be like two more blinks of an eye and we're at her high school graduation or her wedding?? UGH...what I wouldn't do to just slow this down!

*Lily is now talking to the best of her ability and we are thrilled! Tantrums have not completely disappeared but have diminished quite a bit since she has been able to communicate better (probably since she can say 'yes' and 'no').

*She can undress herself most of the time as well as put clothes on most of the time. She now asks for help when she needs it and even when she doesn't :).

*Lily still loves to cuddle, give and receive hugs and kisses!

*She brushes her teeth and lets us inspect while we get the molars. Then throws her toothbrush in the sink when done.

*She can use the big potty when she wants to but would rather stand behind a plant and go in her pullup.

*She can eat an entire meal at the table without getting anything on her clothes and most everything in her mouth.

*She knows the letters in her name plus A,B and C plus words that begin with those letters; apple, baby/bubbles and cat. Also loves putting together her alphabet puzzle and can identify many letters.

*She knows her birthday is approaching, that she will turn 2 and that she gets to have a birthday party!

*Lily has started to actually play! We have tea parties with her princess dolls and her stuffed animals. And, when they 'talk' to her she answers them :).

*She definitely has Mike's photographic memory!!

*Her favorite tv shows are of course Sesame Street, Sid the Science Kid and now Super Why!
