I can't believe how quick this year went. I remember when we took our first family picture last January like it was yesterday. Why does time have to go so fast? I guess it goes fast when you're really enjoying your life and loving every single second of it and if that's the case then so be it.
We are welcoming this Christmas season head-on and jumping right into the fun stuff. Why not, right? So this evening we decided to decorate gingerbread houses and love that they have a mini village set, so we can actually divide it into two nights and everyone can have a chance to decorate. And, side note: girls really only like the icing and candy to put on the houses :). And, if the entire bags of little candies didn't drop, bounce and roll all over the tile floor, it would have been great. At one point, Lily, Emma and Maci were all under the kitchen table supposedly picking up these candies but instead eating away. They seriously were all having a candy picnic under there, absolutely hysterical.
And, this is the best way to decorate a gingerbread house. Eat, lick, wipe with a sprinkle in there somewhere. :)
