I really enjoy looking at blogs. Especially craft blogs. Just makes me want to try everything but I don't have the one thing those ladies do have, it's called TIME.
This is a project I've been wanting to do with Lily and finally got it accomplished.
Homemade Window Clings
You can really make anything you want but we made fall leaves for our backdoor.
All you need is tissue paper in whatever colors you want and tear it up in little pieces. I tried to have Lily help in this part of the process but Emma enjoyed it a lot more than she did. We used orange, yellow and red paper and put the colors in separate containers.
Luckily, one sheet per color of tissue paper was enough and we were ready. I found some left over poster board and stapled contact paper down so that the sticky side would be face up. Then, you pick whatever colors you want and cover the entire piece of contact paper, making sure you overlap colors and leave no empty spaces. When you're done lay another piece of contact paper down on top, sticky side down.
Once I traced and cut-out our leaves I put some double-sided tape on them and Lily decorated our door.
I'm thinking some hearts for Valentine's Day, shamrocks for St. Patty's Day, flowers for springtime, and maybe attempt an entire beach scene for summer.
