consisted of a lot of outside time. The weather was gorgeous and we all needed the fresh air.
Daddy started building the base/floor for the shed we brought back from MD and he had lots of help from Lily and Maci. It was very cute watching Lily wanting to help Daddy. She was good and stayed out of his way until he asked for help like to hand him screws or hold a tape measure.
Daddy's Little Helper, for sure.
On Sunday, we got outside to plant some shrubs we bought online. They were very reasonably priced and even though we don't want our black thumbs to be the end of them we won't mind if we have to buy some more come springtime. We planted three forsythia, three hydrangeas, two butterfly bushes and some phlox. We definitely felt like gardeners after planting so many, using good potting soil (specifically for trees and shrubs) and even putting some white metal fencing around them so Maci won't ruin them. So, now all we can do is cross our fingers!
And, while we were busy planting the girls had fun under the big umbrella playing with some of Emma's toys.
By the end of our planting Lily wanted a snack. Not a problem. She could have a snack. The problem came when she was really quiet so off I went to find her. I found her munching on a granola bar she went inside to get herself. Yep, she opened the very heavy screen door, walked into our pantry and grabbed a granola bar. She then came back outside to enjoy it at her picnic table. Hilarious. Moments later I found her trying to open another one that she helped herself to which made me go in to fix lunch.
Wonderful sunny weekend and pictures of the shed to come soon.
