Today was wonderful! We ran some much needed errands and then were able to play at home! Like every other day I try to talk to Lily about her sister coming to live with us. Or in Lily's words, "Sissy!". Thankfully she has learned Emma's name and does associate her name and it being her sissy.
Last week she also decided, with some prompting and encouragement from me, to give Sissy Emma her Binks. Yes, at 22/23 mths old she does still use her binky and frankly I don't care. She uses it at nap and bedtime and then runs to put them away afterwards. She's actually really good about not using it during the day but would really like for her to give them up completely. So, our plan is to give them to Emma when she comes. We'll see how it goes.
So far so good. These are the kinds of conversations we have about Emma coming. And, she can't be more excited. I'll try to capture more of our convos in the upcoming days, Lily LOVES watching them!!
