A Morning in Pungo

We headed to Pungo this morning to pick some fruits and veggies!
We LOVE summer in this area, so many fun things to do!

First, we picked our own green beans!

Then, we got to pick our own corn!

Lily was extremely excited about this portion of the morning since she was thrilled to pick corn like Pocahontas! She is very interested in her right now. We have had to check out books from the library, she wants to know all about her and John Smith. And, since she found out that they lived near us in Jamestown, she is wanting to take a trip there. We'll probably wait til it cools down and the tourists go home but our four year old wants to go to Jamestown. :)

Next stop was picking blackberries!

Our fingers were stained red by the end of this part but oh, so good! Emma was really great at this too, she filled up her little bucket three times!

Our final stop, Pungo Blueberries!

This will be great in a few weekends. There were plenty of blueberries but they are still ripening a bit. The downpour that kept us huddled under a veggie stand awning didn't deter us. Although, we did pick quickly and ran at the first sound of thunder :)

Yummy!

My mouth is watering looking at these. Yum! Such cute pics! Esp with the red barn in the back on the top one, and the corn. Such great memories!
