On Our Way...

...to My Gym. This morning was our first Tyke/Waddler class at the My Gym in Hilltop. Lily has a blast and it's so much fun to watch her explore and be social. A few highlights of our class:
*Lily climbing steps all by herself
*Lily going down the slide without me holding on to her wrist :)
*Lily held onto one of the uneven bars and hung holding her own weight
*She walked along a padded cylinder practicing balance
*She rode in the swings
*Lily fell in LOVE with the trampoline
*Realized a bubble machine may be a good investment
*Wanting her to play by herself during independent play, but after she played with a toy just had to bring it over to show me (of course this made my morning)
*Loved the parachute she laid down in while the teacher and I swung her back and forth
We are unable to make next week's class due to Lily's 18 month Well Visit so Daddy gets to take her again this Sat for our make-up class :)

Our New Blog

Today I am starting to post our happenings on our new blog. The main reason being; we don't have enough space on our existing Picassa account and with our new little bundle of joy coming this Spring we need MORE room...everywhere including blog space.

Second Appointment

This evening was our second Drs appointment with Dr Burfoot. It's so nice that I get to see her every visit rather than seeing an assistant or nurse practioner (who I saw when my dr was with a different practice). Today they took history (my dr opened her own practice so they don't have my previous HUGE file when I was pregnant with Lily, annoying but understandable) and listened to the heartbeat. BUT...she couldn't locate the heartbeat using the doppler! Luckily the ultrasound tech is there on Tuesday evenings so we got to see the little guy again. Of course, every horrible thought was running through my mind and when I get nervous I get very quiet...extremely quiet. As soon as she looked for him, we saw that flutter and I could finally relax. We heard the heartbeat, nice and strong he was just hiding and nowhere near the surface...is this indicative of what to expect?!? :) She even took this picture for us...yippee. Needless to say, our appointments will now always be scheduled for Tuesday evenings just for the fact that there may be a slight chance of seeing the little guy. Next appointment is scheduled for Oct 20th, seems right around the corner.

First Scan

This morning Mike met Lily and I at the Drs office for our first scan to see Baby Check 2. I was completely prepared for another internal ultrasound (since that's what I had with Lily) but was relieved and ecstatic to walk in and she said she could do it on the belly!!! Whoohoo!!!
Baby Check is right on course 9weeks, 3 days. He is, as of this scan, 2.62cm and has a healthy, normal heartbeat. He didn't move but we were able to see the flicker and his limbs that had already formed.
If you didn't notice, I am referring to Baby Check 2 as a HE. There are some reasons for this:
1. I need a way to distinguish from my already here baby, Lily, and saying she would just be confusing for all of us.
2. I really do think it's a boy!
The ultrasound tech informed us that our next scan would be around the 20 week mark to find out the sex if we wanted to....um, yeah...we plan in this family :) Here we come November!!!
